Jemison belongs to the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). A small woman-owned firm, Jemison & Partners, Inc. is a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Our history
With over twenty years in local and state government, Lydia Jemison accepted her first position in the private sector in 1999. After barely two years, Lydia was suddenly laid off. This was a great shock personally and financially. The natural reaction was to incorporate. Lydia had never envisioned having her own firm. When the circumstances presented, she evolved into it. Hence, Jemison & Partners, Inc. was created in 2001.
